This role bridges the gap between specialty pharmacy practices and healthcare technology. It focuses on optimizing(MID) Medically Integrated Dispensing, improving patient outcomes through technology, and enhancing healthcare delivery by integrating technology, data management, and informatics systems.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
Hire and train the MID support team
Collaborate with the legal team to ensure the MID program meets all regulatory requirements.
Collaborate with the DevOps team to design, implement, and maintain specialty pharmacy-related technology systems, such as MID, Buy & Bill Treatment, Inventory Management, Procurement,Patient Digital Engagement, and Care Plan Management.
Develop and optimize clinical decision support tools
Ensure medication-related workflows in healthcare systems comply with regulatory standards and align with clinical best practices. Develop and implement strategies to reduce medication errors and enhance patient safety through technology.

Collaborate on the development and maintenance of pharmacy system standards for the MID program
Improve work procedures and processes to analyze system problems and develop solutions.
Collaborate on documentation of information system policies and procedures.
Data Management and Analysis
Analyze medication usage data to identify trends, errors, or inefficiencies and recommend evidence-based improvements.
Create reports and dashboards to monitor key performance indicators, medication safety, and patient outcomes.
System Support
Support testing and troubleshooting of the Pulse AI pharmacy informatics systems.
Serve as a liaison between IT and medical practices to ensure technology solutions meet clinical needs.
Regulatory Compliance and Documentation
Maintain knowledge of healthcare informatics regulations, including HIPAA, FDA, and other relevant standards.
Document system updates, protocols, and procedures for internal and external audits.
Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree from an accredited institution.
Minimum of 4 years of experience in pharmacy informatics, healthcare IT, or related field.
Proficiency with pharmacy software applications.
Strong understanding of pharmacy workflows, clinical guidelines, and healthcare IT systems.
Analytical and problem-solving skills focusing on improving system efficiency and patient care.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills for working with multidisciplinary teams.
Knowledge of programming or data analysis tools.
