Job Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Scrum Master to join our team. The Scrum Master will play a critical role in facilitating agile development and ensuring efficient project execution across our teams. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including product owners, developers, and stakeholders, to ensure agile best practices are followed, remove obstacles, and drive continuous improvement. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of agile principles and experience managing software development projects in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

Facilitate daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.

Coach teams on Agile best practices, ensuring adherence to the Scrum framework and driving continuous improvement.

Remove roadblocks and impediments, ensuring the team can stay focused on delivering high-quality software.

Monitor and communicate the team's progress, velocity, and other key performance indicators.

Foster a collaborative, supportive, and team-oriented environment.

Encourage and support open communication, transparency, and a culture of accountability.

Identify and address areas for improvement in both team processes and the overall agile framework within the organization.

Assist in the development of self-managing teams, building a culture of trust and commitment to business goals.

Advocate for Agile principles and serve as a resource for Agile methodologies across the organization.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Professional Scrum Master (PSM), or equivalent Agile certification preferred.

3+ years of experience in a Scrum Master role, working with Agile teams in a software development environment.

Strong understanding of Scrum, Agile principles, and other agile methodologies (e.g., Kanban).

Excellent interpersonal, communication, and facilitation skills.

Ability to work with cross-functional teams and build strong relationships.

Proficient in Agile project management tools (JIRA).

Experience in conflict resolution, continual improvement, and fostering team dynamics.

A strong sense of accountability and commitment to helping the team achieve its goals.

Nice-to-Have Qualifications

Experience working in a scaling Agile environment, such as SAFe or Scrum.

Background in software development or technical project management.

Ability to analyze team metrics and provide insights to support process improvements.

Previous experience coaching teams new to Agile practices.
